Tyler could do anything. He could have Marla and still be emotionally free from her and everything else. This caused Marla to fall in love with the Narrator while Tyler ran off to help the whole world ‘hit bottom’ so he could rebuild the world free from materialism. It is a butterfly effect-type of situation, everything in the book happens because of the Narrator meeting Marla, but it is easy to forget that once you get wrapped up in the story.

Former Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist Slash has filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, Perla Ferrar Hudson.
Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, is citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The former couple has two sons – London, 8, and Cash, 6.
The music star is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children and asks that spousal support be awarded to his estranged wife.

Justin Bieber fans hoping to catch the teen heartthrob at his concert at the New York State Fair today will have to get a raincheck, because it looks as if Justin has a fever of his own.
According to the Associated Press, the 16-year-old pop star had to postpone his Sunday-scheduled concert until Wednesday, due to an illness.
Bieber did tweet his fans to let them know: "I’m gonna be ok just need 2 rest but i wanted all of u 2 know i never want to let any of u down. ever. i really appreciate all the kind words."

For the third year running, the chart-topping country crooners will co-host the Country Music Association Awards live from Nashville on November 10.
