Ciara Encourages Teens to ‘Do Something’
Grammy winner Ciara has teamed up with DoSomething101.org and Staples stores in a campaign to gather school supplies for communities.
"Education is everything," the singer says in her PSA that encourages teens to donate to the 2nd Annual National School Supply Drive.
To get involved, simply drop off some school supplies at your nearest Staples store from July through September.
Natalie Cole Undergoes Kidney Transplant Surgery
Music icon Natalie Cole has received a new kidney.
Reps for the singer tell ET that Cole underwent kidney transplant surgery on Tuesday at a Los Angeles-area hospital and is resting comfortably. Her kidney came to her from a deceased donor through the One Legacy transplant agency.
Natalie had been undergoing dialysis treatment while on her world tour to support her album Still Unforgettable. She has been advised by her doctors to postpone summer tour dates while she recovers.
‘Just Go’ to See Lionel Richie on ‘Idol’ Finale
With a new disc and a performance of his new single "Just Go" on tonight’s "American Idol" finale, Lionel Richie is a busy man, and he tells our own Kevin Frazier he keeps it fresh because, "I treat each day like, ‘Well, this is the first day. Wow, this is exciting.’"
"Just Go" dropped this week, and it’s the first time that Lionel has teamed up with such collaborators as Akon and Ne-Yo for a new, contemporary sound.
"This was actually an experiment to see how much I could give away, and I had the best time ever; this album was really fresh to me," says the tireless veteran performer. "I love it. I keep waiting for the Rolling Stones to retire. Now, when they retire, I will consider [retirement]."
HTV: John Mayer Turns the Tables on Paparazzi
John Mayer was approached by photographers while out on the town, but this time he asked the questions. He’s also seen covered in kisses later in the night.
Hollywood.tv caught up with the singer as he began to yell comments out to the paparazzi, as they continued to shout questions at him. He even shakes hands with the cameramen.
HTV later spotted Mayer with kiss marks all over his face and shirt. The singer danced in the street as his friends sang Michael Jackson’s song "Man in the Mirror."

Teen pop idol Miley Cyrus joined fans at the Revlon Run/Walk in Los Angeles that benefited women’s cancer research.
Miley appeared at the event with her mom, Tish, and said it was fitting that she was celebrating Mother’s Day by attending a gathering so dedicated to saving mother’s lives.

Update: Donny Osmond on Marie’s Show-Stopping Illness
Donny Osmond speaks to ET about what caused his sister Marie to become so ill that the duo had to cancel their Las Vegas show on Friday night.
Donny reveals that Marie got sick with iodine poisoning after she stopped at a sushi restaurant on the way to the show and ate something containing peanuts and shrimp — both of which she is highly allergic to.
Donny tells ET he rushed to be with his sister when he learned Marie was ill. When he arrived, a doctor was already on the scene and Marie was lying on the floor surrounded by people. He immediately canceled the show, ushered people out of Marie’s dressing room and held her hand until she went to sleep.
David Cook’s Emotional Concert Performance
"American Idol" winner David Cook took the concert stage Friday night in Ohio, and he alluded several times to his sadness over the loss of his older brother Adam, who passed away from cancer on May 2.
David, brandishing a guitar with his brother’s initials on it, sang a little bit of the Eagles’ "Hotel California" and told the crowd, "Adam would be proud," says People.com.
Also during the concert, he stopped playing a song and told the audience, "It’s gonna be tough for me," adding, "Hold on. Im sorry. Do you mind if I sing a different song?"
