Monday, May 25th, 2009

Like any manufacturer, in addition to dedicating part of your business to developing and creating products, you also need to address the sales, marketing and distribution of those products (scripts) along with the business affairs aspect (contracts, accounting, etc.) of working with your customers (studios, production companies and/or networks). You dont have to do it all by yourself, but you do need to make sure these aspects of your business as a professional writer are handled. Just by making that shift in the way you see yourself and your career, youll immediately transform from would-be writer to an entrepreneurial professional well on the road to success.

With video game consoles becoming more and more expensive, and with more competition to choose

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

With video game consoles becoming more and more expensive, and with more competition to choose from, there needs to be an outlet for people to get what they want without having to exceed their financial considerations. Everyone wants the hottest video game system, MP3 player or video camera out there, but not everyone can afford to purchase them either. For those who cant, there is an option, and that is to purchase a refurbished version of the product. Again, in many cases refurbished does not mean opened, used, enjoyed, repaired or rebuilt. It just means that the item can not by law be defined and sold as a brand new product.

‘Just Go’ to See Lionel Richie on ‘Idol’ Finale

With a new disc and a performance of his new single "Just Go" on tonight’s "American Idol" finale, Lionel Richie is a busy man, and he tells our own Kevin Frazier he keeps it fresh because, "I treat each day like, ‘Well, this is the first day. Wow, this is exciting.’"

"Just Go" dropped this week, and it’s the first time that Lionel has teamed up with such collaborators as Akon and Ne-Yo for a new, contemporary sound.

"This was actually an experiment to see how much I could give away, and I had the best time ever; this album was really fresh to me," says the tireless veteran performer. "I love it. I keep waiting for the Rolling Stones to retire. Now, when they retire, I will consider [retirement]."
