Taylor Swift Launches Dress Collection
Taylor Swift may be starting her own dress line but she doesn’t want to be called a designer.
The singer is teaming up with l.e.i. to create a collection of $14 dresses that will launch at Wal-Mart in February of this year.
"Sundresses are my favorite things to wear," Swift tells New York magazine. "In the summer, I automatically want to look bohemian."

New Video: Donny Osmond Won’t be on Next Season of ‘DWTS’
Donny Osmond sets the record straight with ET regarding the rumors that he will be a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" this spring.
"I’m definitely not doing this upcoming season," Donny tells ET. "If there was an offer on the table, I’d do it in the fall. I would make room for it. Absolutely!"
Donny’s sister, Marie Osmond, was a contestant on the fifth season of "DWTS."
David Cook Heads Out On his First Solo Tour
"American Idol" champ David Cook heads out on his first-ever solo tour, "The Declaration Tour — 2009," in support of his eponymous album, released last November. The tour launches on Feb. 13 in Tallahassee, FL and continues through April 25 at various college campus and major venues around the country.
"I’m more than excited to hop on the road and support this record. This tour represents both a new beginning and a return to form for me," said Cook. "It’s our first full tour, and we’re all ready to pour whatever blood, sweat, and tears that we can muster into making this show, and every show from here on out, an experience. Part of that experience is bringing back this college tour idea. There’s something inherently nostalgic about playing college shows. So many amazing acts used to do it, so it’s nice to be able to bring that ideal back, in some small way. And besides, touring on a bus beats what we used to do, which was cram five guys into a seven passenger van for one show, 13 hours away… "
Cook’s first single, "The Time of My Life," recently went platinum, with over one million tracks sold. "The Time of My Life" is not only the biggest single debut but the highest selling debut single in "Idol"’s history.
Top Performers Announced for Super Bowl
The organizers for Super Bowl XLIII have chosen a top R&B singer and a legendary rock band to perform at the pregame show before Sunday’s big game.
Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend will help kick off the Super Bowl festivities in Tampa Bay, Fla. Joining him onstage will be hip-hop artist T-Pain, who will take part in a rendition of "Green Light," Legends current chart-topping single.
American rock sensation Journey will also appear as part of the pregame show held adjacent to Tampa Bay’s Raymond James Stadium.
Madonna Reveals New Tour Plans
She’ll take Europe by storm once again.

A Tuesday post on the Material Mom’s Web site reads: "The rumors are true! Madonna will tour Europe this summer. Stay tuned for details later this week."
Last year Madonna thrilled audiences across the U.S. and abroad with her her blockbuster "Sticky & Sweet" tour.
‘American Idol’ Alum Releasing New Album
New Doolittle music out February.
Melinda Doolittle, the R&B/soul singer who gave it her all against the likes of Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis on "Idol," is about to unveil her debut solo album.
Ann Powers of The Los Angeles Times says Melinda’s new disc, Coming Back to You, features a "vintage soul" sound reminiscent of Gladys Knight and early Aretha Franklin.
The album drops Feb 3.

Singer Taylor Swift is a loyal fan of one female pop singer.
Taylor expressed her adoration for Britney Spears in a candid MySpace blog, telling a story of her mother rearranging her bathroom and moving her belongings.
"I turned around and was startled by something… Where was my Britney Spears poster … No, this can’t be right… WHERE is it?!? I searched the room frantically for a few seconds before finding its new spot."
Spice Girl Geri Halliwell Gets Engaged
Geri Halliwell, the British pop singer also known as Ginger Spice, is engaged to an Italian yacht tycoon.
The engagement happened after a whirlwind romance with her beau, 34-year-old Fabrizio Politi, People magazine reports.
Geri, 36, met her fianc in Florence, Italy, in December and Fabrizio presented the singer with an engagement ring over the holidays, People says. Since then, the couple has been enjoying themselves on a series of luxury trips to exotic locations in Italy and France.

Country cutie Taylor Swift stops by Radio Disney to give an acoustic performance of two singles from her Fearless CD — "You’re Not Sorry" and "White Horse."
The platinum-selling Swift sold more albums in 2008 than any other recording artist in any genre of music, and she currently holds the Billboard all-genre record for most Top 20 debuts in a calendar year.
Also look for Swift to guest star in an upcoming episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," playing Haley Jones, a teen whose family runs a seedy Vegas motel.
